Ice Cream Reviews

I recently received some complimentary coupons for free ice cream products to review. The coupons I got were for Bryers, Good Humor, Klondike, Popsicle, and Magnum. Reviewing ice cream posed a bit of a challenge for me because I’m mindful of the fat, calories, and sugar in my diet. Armed with my coupons, I embarked on a shopping trip and discovered Bryers Butter Pecan No Sugar Added ice cream, sugar-free Popsicles, Klondike Krunch, Strawberry Shortcake Good Humor bars, and Magnum Double Caramel. While I could enjoy the first two guilt-free, I knew I’d have to step up my exercise routine on the days I indulged in the others.

My standout favorite was the Magnum Double Caramel. Yes, I’m aware it’s not the healthiest choice, but I’ve reached a point in my weight loss journey where I can indulge, in moderation. If I’ve loaded up on fruits and vegetables during the day, keeping my fat and sugar intake in check, I don’t mind treating myself to a decadent dessert from time to time. Of all the ice creams I sampled with those free coupons, the Magnum Double Caramel was absolutely worth the extra workouts I had to squeeze in.

I genuinely enjoyed all the ice creams I tried, courtesy of the free coupons. I’m now on a mission to seek out the Fat-Free Bryers ice cream, though. I noticed it’s available on their website, but my go-to store doesn’t stock it, only offering the reduced fat and no-sugar-added varieties. The no-sugar-added Butter Pecan won me over with its sizable pecan pieces and a flavor that didn’t make me miss the sugar.

For my kids, I prefer the sugar-free Popsicle line. My daughter adores them, and with the scorching hot weather lately, they’re perfect for cooling down. What’s more, I appreciate the fact that I can let her enjoy a couple of them without worrying about her sugar intake.

Next time you’re at the store and your kids are pleading for ice cream, don’t hesitate to say yes. There are plenty of healthy and delicious cold treats available now, so you can satisfy their cravings without the guilt.
