Campout! Carolina and Supporting the Environment

Durham, N.C. – Are you ready to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature this October? EarthShare North Carolina (ESNC), a nonprofit network of regional environmental organizations, invites you to embrace the great outdoors during their annual statewide event, Campout! Carolina, taking place from October 11th to 13th. It’s an opportunity for North Carolina residents to step away from screens and celebrate the natural beauty of their home state.

Campout! Carolina encourages participants to power down their devices, switch off their smartphones, and set aside their iPads. Instead, they’re encouraged to get back to the basics and spend a night camping out under the stars, whether it’s in their own backyard or a cherished camping spot.

This event is all about celebrating North Carolina’s stunning landscapes and demonstrating our commitment to preserving and protecting its natural beauty. ESNC welcomes residents from all corners of the state, as well as church groups, scouting organizations, and community groups of all kinds to join in the campout and show their support for a healthy environment in North Carolina.

Heather Beard, Executive Director of ESNC, highlights the importance of taking a break from our fast-paced lives and using this event as an opportunity to reconnect with our environment.

Last year, over 4,500 North Carolinians came together with friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate and rally behind environmental conservation efforts. As Campout! Carolina enters its seventh year, ESNC hopes to surpass that number and set a new record. So, grab your camping gear, pitch a tent, and register for the campout at www.campoutcarolina.org. Best of all, signing up is absolutely free, and participants will automatically be entered into a drawing for a chance to win fantastic prizes.

Campout! Carolina is your chance to unplug, rediscover the beauty of North Carolina’s outdoors, and join a community dedicated to preserving the natural wonders of this great state. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and fellow North Carolinians – mark your calendars for October 11-13 and register today!
