I do a lot of traveling during this time of year. There are different family members to visit. Stores to go shopping in. For me, all this traveling is stressful. My memories of a car accident I was involved in, many years ago, always come back to me during the holidays. It was this time of the year that the accident occurred.
I was forced off of the road, and the other driver didn’t even stop. It was a two-lane, divided highway. I lost steering control, and my car spun out of control. It went across the grass, into the other lanes, and then spun back into the grass median.
I was lucky. Only my car sustained damage. It could have been so much worse. When I am driving, or my husband is, I can’t help but be scared. I try to not think about it, but I’m a worrier. There are so many crazy drivers out there. I can’t even begin to count how many times we have just barely avoided an accident.
One thing I worry about is what would happen if my husband, or myself, were hurt in an accident. There is a website you can visit for car accident litigation facts. For instance, in most accidents, it’s the driver that is blamed. But, the driver is not always at fault. There are times when it is the car that malfunctioned. Have you been in an accident recently? Were you alone in the car, or had your family with you? I remember how helpless I felt when I was in that accident. I didn’t have a clue as to what to do afterwards. I believe in being prepared for anything. I need to get prepared for the possibility of an accident.
